We really wanted to encapsulate the feeling you get when you see someone wearing a beautiful piece of jewellery. Whether it be a pair of earrings, a necklace or a ring, there is something about it that makes you do a double-take and look again. There’s something different, it hasn’t come from a chain store, it has a certain style and elegance.

Taking inspiration from his Belgian French language, Jermaine thought about what you would say to a person standing with you in that moment. You might say “regarde la” or “regarde-le” meaning to look at her or look at him. Just like that, Regarde Jewellers was born.

Jermaine’s love of jewellery was inspired when his grandmother had a bespoke ring made by a renowned Master Jeweller. He created this beautiful piece which she treasured for a lifetime and which has been passed down in his family. Jewellery should always tell a story.

Jermaine has been working in the jewellery industry, in buying and selling and working with master jewellers. He prioritises quality – whether it be a piece worth thousands or a simple silver chain, it must meet certain standards before joining the collection. Having spent many years in customer service, he also puts great emphasis on the customer experience, as jewellery is a very personal purchase and it should be special.

Jermaine's interests are in precious gemstones, coloured diamonds, traditional and antique rings and he has a particular love for pearls - a treasure from the ocean.

Richard’s love of finding natural stones started at a very young age. He was always searching to find the most interesting gem in a sea of stones. This developed into an appreciation of the form and function of jewellery and preserving the subtle design elements such as fine tool work, meanings and inscriptions that sometimes speak louder than the gems set into it.

His creative flair brings modern and contemporary styling going beyond the boundaries of traditional jewellery. This extends into capturing the lifestyle and staged photographs used on our website and creating our various design elements. Richard continues to extend his skills by exploring the design and manufacturing elements of the jewellery industry as a way to further his creative expression.

Richard’s interests are in modern design, bold statement pieces and the way jewellery can make someone feel. One of his favourite gemstones is his birthstone, Amethyst, which he feels rivals precious gemstones with its varied colour and beauty.
