This exquisite late Victorian era 18ct Yellow Gold ring is simple yet elegant. Crafted in rich 18ct Yellow Gold, it features a trilogy of old cut diamonds that have been beautifully hand star set into a wide setting with scalloped edges. Flowing on from this is the beautiful scrollwork on the shoulders bringing you down to the band. It is a stunning example of the work and craftsmanship that went into jewellery at the time.

Despite being crafted back in the late Victorian era (between 1885-1901), the style and design is still immensely wearable today. Elegant yet simple with a nice low profile, it is very comfortable to wear and adds charm to any outfit.

ITEM DETAILS

ERA: Late Victorian (c1885 - c1901)

MEASUREMENTS: Diamonds: Round centre stone is 1.5mm and two side stones measuring 1.2mm.
Setting: The setting measures 15mm wide (to the start of the scrollwork on the shoulders), 8.25mm in length and 1.8mm in height.
Shank: The band tapers from 3mm wide and 0.9mm thick at the shoulders to 2.75mm wide and 0.72mm in thickness at the base.

WEIGHT: 2.6g

HALLMARKS: "P&S" Maker's mark; "Crown" "18" for 18ct Gold; Hallmark for Chester; Date mark is indistinct but placed between 1890 - 1900

RING SIZE (IF APPLICABLE): P (with good resizing ability)

CONDITION

Very Good. The diamonds still have a lovely sparkle to them, not as bright as the modern brilliant cut but with elegant subtlety. The ring itself is in very good condition given its age, with minor scratches and wear consistent with age. The ring does not have any evidence of repair or resizing.
